Councillor praises our team

The village of St Michael’s is prone to flooding with the river levels constantly rising during storm conditions. Along with United Utilities, the Environment Agency and Local Highways, we completed a repair on the 225mm surface water sewer, which is close to the outfall on the riverbank. This work proved very challenging due to the topography and foliage in and around the location.

We quickly devised a method to carry out a successful repair and reduce the potential of surface water flooding in the future, as well as taking great care regarding any environmental issues that may occur during such a complex repair.

“All works were quickly completed and all reinstatement carried out in order to have previous levels of the riverbank restored. All parties involved commented on the guy’s professionalism and hard work during extreme heat, also a big thanks from all at UU.”

“I am absolutely made up with the progress Lee and Sapphire Utility Solutions have made and I want you all to know how grateful I am. Please tell Lee and the lads from Sapphire well done.”

Well done to all the guys involved! We caught up with them in Blackpool this week to thank them for their hard work.
