Lest We Forget
“At the going down of the sun and in the morning, We will remember them.”
We must never forget the sacrifices made by those who lost their lives serving our country and those that continue to risk their lives serving in our armed forces. This Sunday marks the 100thAnniversary of Armistice Day and to raise awareness of this important event and to provide our support, we have added some special touches to our fleet.
Throughout November we will be working with our colleagues and organisations across the UK, to continue this awareness and support for Help for Heroes and The Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal. A significant number of SUS employees are ex-military and as a result, these charities are very close to our hearts.
We are committed to supporting ex-military personnel and acknowledge that the transition to civilian life can be a challenging time. We actively encourage applications through our work with the Career Transition Partnership, attending recruitment events to work with service personnel to understand their transferrable skills and competencies for the mutual benefit of both parties.
