Sapphire staff save collapsed sewer

Our staff were recently tasked with a sewer repair 9.5 metres underground!

Staff were brought on site tasked with a 9.5 metre reactive excavation to repair a collapsed sewer (525mm) with a lateral junction (375mm).

The team came across a challenge during this work on Wareing Road, Liverpool – Sandstone rock at 7 metres down.

The team excavated the area and installed 2100mm M/H with a 375mm junction in line with client requirements, ensuring the full design was obtained in line with our client’s asset standards.

Credit to the team who carried out the reactive repair under various challenges with tight time constraints and extreme weather conditions. The team successfully completed the sewer repair over a 6 week period. Great job team!
