Scheduler

We are actively looking for a number of team players to work on the Clean Water Contract responsible for scheduling of work for the repair and maintenance and reinstatement teams.

The role of the planner/scheduler entails using their competencies and expertise in the planning, maintenance and safety fields to prepare and coordinate scheduled maintenance work. and assist management in decision making. Key responsibilities consist in optimising, preparing and scheduling the preventive, planned and remedial maintenance work. They must continuously seek to improve systems to optimise the planning and scheduling process.

Job Description

  • Optimising, preparing and scheduling the preventive, planned and remedial maintenance.
  • You will schedule work orders in accordance with SLA’s, whilst optimising travel routes and increasing productivity.
  • Working closely with the engineers to identify and rectify issues whilst improving the effectiveness of the operations department.
  • Maintaining high standards within Health, Safety & Environment, Housekeeping, Performance, Waste, Communication and Continuous Improvement.
  • Effectively supporting the Operations Manager and operations team to meet output requirements in quality expectations, cost management and the delivery of key objectives and operational performance targets.
  • Managing and coordinating the promoted workload according to defined priorities, estimating resource and duration requirements in line with agreed metrics.
  • Participate and supporting scheduled meetings.

The Successful Applicant

Applicants should possess:

  • Working knowledge of SAP systems would be desirable.
  • Experience of working within a fast paced [MM1] environment.
  • Previous experience of planning and co-ordinating maintenance work.
  • Proven knowledge of using continuous improvement tools and techniques.
  • Ability to make decisions in a time pressured environment.
  • Competent skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Salary bracket is dependent on experience within the scheduling or utilities sector
