Jetting & Vacuumation
Sapphire Utility Solutions’ jetting and vacuumation service gets your drains moving again. A blockage can be caused by any number of things, a build-up of silt and debris, bad weather conditions, or a structural issue, such as a damaged pipe.
We understand the time critical nature of unblocking drains and sewers and our state of the art equipment, along with our extensive knowledge of the drainage industry, ensures that we get the job done quickly and with minimal disruption.
Our units are equipped with the latest technology, including recycling tankers, with continuous water recycling. By recycling the waste water, we remove the need to draw off clean water, reducing carbon from water treatment and pumping. This also removes the need to move from site to designated fill points, reducing travel time greatly, giving us more time on the job and in turn, reducing our carbon footprint.
We offer a specialist solution for a whole range of services, including:
Reducing flood impact
We work with our clients and monitor the weather forecast, to predict any potential impact. This enables us to ensure that we have equipment and resources strategically allocated, to react accordingly, in case of a bad weather incident.
We have an escalation process in place that, in the event of an unforeseen weather emergency, ensures that information flows up through the business to the required level. Our on-call rotas also ensure that we can mobilise management and crews as required.
We received a call from a client at 9pm on a Wednesday evening. As result of torrential rain, a pumping station in Liverpool was in danger of flooding.
Crews were required to attend to tanker away excess flows, as well to deal with surcharging sewers and property flooding. This was escalated to our Managing Director and the senior management structure and crews were deployed with our city flex units to attend the downstream incidents and deal with the surcharges and clean ups, whilst tankers and recyclers were mobilised to the pumping station to support our client with flow control and tankering.
The incident lasted for three days, which meant that our emergency planning procedures were implemented, allowing us to rotate shifts to ensure that our client was supported. Our client was delighted with our response and it has been quoted as a great example of how a supplier should support the business in times of emergency.
