Project Manager (Customer Area Manager)

Sapphire Utility Solutions are looking for a Project Manager (Customer Area Manager to work on their Severn Trent Water contract out of one the sites in the Leicester area.

The role will be to :

Manage the activities throughout the contract and oversee the Technical Support Agent and Customer Catchment Supervisors.

Ensuring relevant Health and Safety standards are followed and achieved including undertaking required site audits/inspections, completing risk assessments and other compliance reports, and rectifying issues as required, through the relevant systems

  • Maximise productivity whilst adhering to procedures and working practices to ensure compliance with legislation.
  • Work closely with the client and other key stakeholders.
  • workload for teams and ensuring the works are fluid, to ensure works are delivered safely and on time.
  • Overseeing of Managers/Supervisors on completion of works, to quality standards in all aspects of site activities.
  • Ensuring prompt and accurate completion and return of relevant information e.g. CCTV Footage Uploads, Photos etc.
  • Ensuring work sites comply with all current legislation using the relevant systems to ensure site compliance
  • Management of supervisors, administrative resources operational & support teams and sub-contractors.
  • Investigating complaints and issues should they occur and monitoring all Near miss/ Incident Reports.
  • Investigating Health and Safety incidents should they occur, through the relevant systems and procedures
  • Management of poor performance internally and with sub-contractors
  • Implementing new working methods and procedures, to maximise profitability and ensure Health and Safety Compliance.
  • Chairing and leading relevant meetings such as Health and Safety, Performance, and Planning.
  • Ensure works are complete and meet the required quality standards.
  • Complete work to agreed time scales and identify any deviations from estimate so early warnings can be approved in a timely manner ensuring no delay commercially and operationally.
  • All works to have photos to evidence compliance and be uploaded onto system
  • All timesheets and overtime approval to follow internal approval process
  • Make sure all staff and contractors comply with CSP Health & Safety standards including site risk assessments and use all appropriate PPE and control risk with compliance with all induction and site safety rules.
  • Coaching of resources in the spirit of continuous improvement around; communication, updates, photographic and documentary evidence from site
  • Ownership of non-productive costs around defects, damages, losses, fines, penalties, are investigated and actions taken to stop further incidents
  • Ensure weekly checks of plant and tools are taking place, ensure they are safe to use and where applicable carry valid calibration certificates and submitted through Mod+
  • Maximising revenue whilst controlling cost on project

You must be able to work 50 hours and week and be on call and be flexible in your working pattern.

Salary negotiable on experience

You must have industry experience and be used to managing supervisors.

Salary: £42,119.16-£59,728.83 per year

Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift

  • Leicester, Leicestershire: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

  • Water Utilities: 2 years (preferred)
