CAD Designer

Sapphire Utility Solutions are looking for an experienced CAD Operator to work with the Traffic Management department on a particular contract

As the Traffic Management CAD Technician, you will to produce Traffic Management CAD Drawings for various TM scenarios. Our high standards must be maintained on each drawing to meet client and council specific requirements.

Key Responsibilities

We are looking for someone to produce Traffic Management drawings, utilising Bricscad along with Cone software , for TM scenarios such as Give and Take, Priority System, Stop/Go boards, Portable Traffic Signals, Convoy Working, Road Closures, Diversions and Lane Closures for submission to clients and local authorities

We are looking for someone to liaise with our Operations Managers , Depot Managers, Agents and Client planners to give progress updates

We are looking for someone to show good awareness of the timescales for undertaking required works and ensure that client spdcific SLA’s are met

We are looking for someone to show excellent communication skills to ensure that our clients are kept up to date with the progress of their requests

We are looking for someone to be organised to meet strict SLA’s for each client

We are looking for someone to work well both in a team and on your own initiative

Experience and Qualifications

Previous experience of CAD advantageous

Demonstrable knowledge of TTM specs

Familiar with Chapter 8 and Streetworks code of practice

Good IT Skills – Word, Excel, Outlook

This is a full time permanent role

Hours of work 40 per week

Salary: £26,000.00-£28,000.00 per year

  • Preston, PR5 6BQ: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)


  • AutoCAD: 1 year (preferred)
